About Me

Welcome to my website.
I have a Master’s of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Washington University in St. Louis. After completing my degree, I didn’t follow a traditional path. I worked in a variety of jobs but always returned to painting and teaching.
I view life as a journey. So, years ago I went back to school for a second Master’s degree in Psychology. This brought together the strands of my philosophical and creative interests, enabling me to engage with the intersection between art and personal experience. Today, I’m fortunate to spend my time creating meaningful work, helping others, and contributing something beautiful to the world.
My artwork has evolved significantly over time, moving in various directions. My oil paintings explore the richness of color, the movement of line, and the process itself. Some of them interpret places I’ve experienced in semi-abstract forms, while others are introspective, falling into what I call “Unformulated Experience.” These pieces are rooted in the space we occupy before words take hold—the place where I immerse myself in the physicality of paint, the fluidity of line, and the joy of discovering harmonious relationships between colors.
On the other hand, my watercolors and drawings embrace simplicity and stillness. They focus on the quiet elegance of a single line traveling across a page, telling a story with minimal expression. These works aim to convey much with little, celebrating balance and subtlety.
I hope you enjoy my work.
